VEats - General FAQs
1. Where is VEats available?
VEats is launching in Sydney and will expand to other major Australian cities in the near future. On the website, you’ll be able to see the restaurants that are currently open in your local area. Please, note that each restaurant or venue sets its operating hours including delivery schedules.
2. Does it cost money to use VEats?
VEats does not charge any fees for customers to browse the website. However, if you place an order through VEats, you are responsible for paying those fees or taxes to the ordering platform or directly to the restaurant.
VEats - Account FAQs
1. Do I need to create an account?
Not to just browse the website and learn about all of the amazing plant-based options there are in Australia. A VEats account allows you to make reservations, order delivery/pick-up, review restaurants and venues, keep a list of favorited restaurants (like bookmarks) and more. Plus, in the future, we plan to offer member specific features and specials.
2. How much does an account cost?
It is free! Of course, you have to pay for whatever you order from the participating restaurants and venues.
3. How do I create an account?
Either on desktop or on your mobile device, click on the Sign Up link. This will bring up a pop-up dialog which will allow you to sign up. Please look for your confirmation email in your inbox.
4. How do I leave a review about a restaurant?
Log into VEats, visit a restaurant page, scroll down to "Write a Review" and rate or review the restaurant.
5. How do I save or bookmark a restaurant for quick viewing later?
Log into VEats, visit a restaurant page, or on any card, see the right most image and click on the round circle with a ribbon icon. All "favorited" or saved restaurants can be accessed from your dashboard or the menu under "My Favorites".
6. Can I add a listing if a venue is not listed yet?
VEats encourages our customers to add vegan-friendly and businesses that are not yet listed on the site so we can reach out to them or they can claim their listing. You can add a listing by logging in and clicking on the "Add Place" button.
7. How do I reset my password?
Log in and you will see a link on the Dashboard labelled "Account Details" and you can change it there.
8. How do I delete my profile?
Contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org. Important note: When VEats deletes your account, it can't delete any other accounts you have created from ordering through Order Up! or any of the participating restaurants.
VEats - Booking and Order FAQs
1. There was an issue with my order, who do I contact?
If you have ordered through Order Up!, you need to contact them. If you have ordered directly through a restaurant or a restaurant's orderng platform, you need to contact the restaurant. Usually the contact information is on order receipt.
2. How can I book a table?
Some restaurants have the ability to book online either via our convenient, book online box or their preferred booking platform. Look for the "Booking online" box. Note: if restaurants do not have that convenient booking box, you can still call them to see if they accept online or phone reservations.
3. How do I cancel/modify my booking?
Please get in touch with the booking platform or restaurant for any booking cancellations or modifications.
4. What payment methods do you the restaurants take?
If you book through Order Up! or the restaurant's preferred ordering platforms, they usually accept standard credit cards. Note: VEats does not take orders for food so you will not be paying VEats directly. All online orders occur through Order Up! or the restaurant's preferred ordering platform.
